Steve Welker

I have been working in clay for twenty-five years. I was trained as a functional potter but switched to sculpted florasl fountains while living in Sarasota, Florida. Much of my previous inspiration came from my collection of tropical plants growing on my property. In 1996 I moved to Indiana and started a studio and gallery in a 19th century woodframed chruch building. I now have a line of functional stoneware pottery and my line of sculpted floral fountains. Many of my new designs reflect my new northern home.
